ToolSwap provides secure payments, buyer protection, and a dedicated team focused on seller success. Our fees support platform operations, customer service, and continuous improvement — making selling tools simple, fair, and reliable.
Platform & Payment Fees
ToolSwap charges a 7% commission fee on each completed sale, plus a 3% payment processing fee (paid to our payment processor, Stripe).
That means sellers pay a total of 10% in fees per transaction.
Fees are automatically deducted from your payout once the order is complete and confirmed.
Listing Fees
Creating listings on ToolSwap is completely free.
You can post as many items as you like — fees only apply when your item sells.
Shipping Fees
Shipping costs are set by the seller and are not included in seller fee calculations.
When your item sells, you can choose one of two shipping options:
Use ToolSwap’s discounted shipping rates — purchase a prepaid label directly through ToolSwap.
Use your own carrier — ship independently and add the tracking number to your order.
Tracking is required on all shipped orders to protect both buyers and sellers.
Payouts
Sellers are paid 72 hours after the item is marked as delivered to the buyer.
This brief holding period ensures secure transactions and allows time for any delivery or item issues to be reported.
All payouts are processed through Stripe and deposited directly into your connected bank account.
